Adele’s “21” (Beggars Group) sells another 13,000 copies this week, pushing its release-to-date total to over one million copies on the Nielsen SoundScan Top Albums chart. It is just the 11th album to hit the one million mark in the SoundScan era which began in 1995 and is the first since The Beatles’ “1” in February 2006. “21” took just 50 weeks to reach one million units, the third fastest, only behind Celine Dion’s “Let’s Talk About Love” which reached the mark in just 14 weeks and “Big Shiny Tunes 2” which took 17 weeks.
Adele on the same level as the iconic Celine Dion. Who else?
