I can drive.. I ahve had my drivers liscence since 18 (since that was the driving age in my country I was living in), but now that I am in Canada, I need to get one here -_- ... Either way, I won't cause it's too expensive!

Glad I'm not the only 20+er who does not drive! I HATE driving! I tried to learn a bunch of times and it just stresses me out...I'm not really down strapping myself into a piece of metal and hurtling myself past others. That's some scary ****! One time I tried to drive around my the block at my parents' house...I was doing ok until it started to rain, at that point I stopped the car in the middle of the road and cried. Yeah, true story. Can you tell I have a real problem with driving? lol

Where are you originally from?

I am originally from Aruba (a small island in the Caribbean). Getting your drivers license there is much easier. There is no highways there. The biggest lane there is a 2-lane 1 km long road And they don't even test you on parallel parking (thank god, because I still cannot do that).

It's hard at first to drive tbh. You are nervous, you feel like you cannot control and you don't want to screw up. What my parents did is bring me to a supermarket parking lot and let me drive there when its dead. Then they picked a very straight road with not too many cars. When I got the hang of it I became less nervous and I was able to drive anywhere. You just need to take baby steps and than you can drive in the big places. I am not sure about here in Canada though, I got scared the one time I drove because the rules are slightly different plus no insurance here, so I was sweating. I only did it once but nothing happened. But I am sure once I drive here constantly, that will go too.

I don't mind driving. I drive when I have to go visit my friends (who don't live downtown) and it's not bad at all. I'm extremely with texting and driving. Like, to the point where I drive with my knees on the highway (401/404/407). However, I'm learning to ignore the text until I reach a stationary position (at a red light, not a ditch haha).

I go to Italy often so I really need to learn how to drive standard but with my (lack of) coordination, I don't see that happening.

Don't be scared, there's nothing to it. Once you start venturing out often enough, it becomes second-nature.

I'm waiting till I live in a warmer climate to drive (i.e. back in Vancouver when snow is an excuse to stay home.) because there is no way I'm driving during the snowstorms Calgary has.

I also really enjoy walking, and its free! (I once walked home from Downtown Calgary - 4 1/2 hours. Only bad part were the damn hills.)

Sadly, this is exactly what I looked like in that situation lol. And that's not even the worst! There was the time I sucked it up and took driver's training...but they asked me to stop coming until I got more practice on my own.

There was also a time my darling BF wanted to try to teach me on a four wheeler at his dad's farm...but I got scared and jumped from the moving vehicle. I AM THE WORST!

not really...I'm getting a cavity filled and my license renewed

I'm going to probably just hang out with my friends from home...I actually more than anything just want to veg out and relax...the past two weeks have been trying times to say the least (back to back to back papers and midterms...I made it out in one piece but today is the last exam soooo yup)

I think twenties are the best years but then any age is better than being a teen, you got your own job and I was very lucky after I finished college I got a job that pays a lot of cash so I feel very independent and now I can buy everything I want which is basically loads of clothes and hand bags
