It's just a fun little doohickey. It's not meant to be a huge productivity tool or anything, just a fun little tablet to have at home to watch movies on. I think everyone deserves to waste their money every now and then

I said the same thing with my iPod Nano. I didn't want to upgrade to an iPod Touch because there was no point. All I need is music and I'm good, but after I upgraded, I found it so useful. If I'm at school and I forget my calculator, I'll use my iTouch, or use the internet at Starbucks if my phone is dead, there's so much use for it. I have a Macbook Pro that I bought last year (I never used it. I only bought it because all my friends had one ), but I'm sure if I bought the iPad I would use it constantly and discover many uses for it (like I did from the Nano to iTouch). It's more convenient too, especially for traveling.

I use mine almost exclusively for reading eBooks and watching movies.

The keyboard is too big to type comfortably for extended periods of time and it's too big to carry around to listen to music.

I wouldn't buy no damn $600 iPad though. Might as well buy a laptop.

Nope. Even at its reduced price, the iPad is still sorely lacking to be worth the investment.

If I were to buy a tablet, I'd much rather save up for an Asus Transformer Prime instead.

120 GB? Damn, that's going to last you FOREVER.

After my iPod Nano, 8 GB, reached 1,000 songs, I needed to upgrade, so I went for the 32 GB iPod Touch. I though the 32 GB would be enough... I already used 10/32 GB of it. I remember deciding if I should get the 32GB iPod Touch ($299) or the 120GB iPod Classic ($249). I decided to get the iTouch, even though I don't use Apps and because it was more popular. I don't regret it though, because I do find it really handy sometimes.

Nope. They've never done that besides iPhones and they never will. That would be a dumb idea because most people would just buy the iPad 2 and they wouldn't keep producing them when there's a new product.

These 'reports' happen all the time in the Apple world and they never become true.

I will be getting the iPad 2G WIFI + 3G 32GB WHITE when the 3 comes out. Just waiting for that day to come.
