I still don't know how I feel about the album tbh I'm undecided. I don't want to rush into thinking 'MANSON IS BACK!' because thats how I felt when the high end of low came out and I was wrong. Oh well. Did you guys hear that manson is touring with rob zombie in the US? Rob Zombie already stole half of the band- they may aswell tour together.

I've been feeling the same way since it came out and I've come to the conclusion that if its taking this long to grow on me then it means this is just another album I'll have on my ipod because its marilyn manson and not because its good quality music.

Which is fine I guess. The High End Of Low would not be on my ipod if it weren't manson- but its grown on me and I think lyrically its way more entertaining then born villain. "Everyone will come to my funeral to make sure that i stay dead" > "i dont even know any of the lyrics of born villain from the top of my head to compare too because the lyrics were all completely forgettable"

I still think Murderers Are Getting Prettier Everyday is one of his best songs hes done since the 90s.

I think I might be the one of the few who actually liked The High End of Low. I mean I don't really listen to half of the album tracks on it by choice, only when I'm listening to the full thing.

The High End of Low led to my my favorite song from him: Devour

but I'm actually starting to use Born Villain. It's really good for an album but if you're expecting something like golden age of grotesque then you probably won't find it as good.

My favorites on Born Villain are Pistol Whipped, Slo-Motion, Lay Down Your Goddamn Arms, Murderers are Getting Prettier Every day, and You're So Vain.

The rest are good too, but I'm not sure if I like them as much yet.

My final opinion on born villian is that its his worse record ever. The production and writing is the worst ive ever heard from not just manson but ANYBODY. But its not manson's fault alone, I think the entire band has died and he really did try but its not working so they need to stop trying.

I still stan for murderers are getting prettier everyday! The lyrics, the sound, the energy, everything about it felt like a marilyn manson song. Some of the other songs on the album, lyrically- felt less marilyn manson and more brian warner. It felt like a solo album to me. Not something thats a part of what the entire band represents.

I think Born Villain is very slowly growing on me but I still don't like whats become of his voice. If I had to think of a main problem it would be that. I don't wanna say this era has been a total flop though, because the no reflection video was one of his best videos in years, and I'm hoping slo-mo-tion is good too.

I still think he should seriously consider ending the band. I love the band obviously but I can't with whats become of it.

They'll make you a manson avatar/icon in the gif request thread if you give them the video you want it from, thats how I got mine. And I wish they would release the slo-mo-tion video already its been a while and I don't think they've even released the single officially yet.
