Lana Del Rey is no puppet, says record label boss

President of Polydor Records UK Ferdy Unger-Hamilton has denied claims that Lana Del Rey is a manufactured artist.
The music boss revealed that he did not sign the singer up when he first met her, which was a year prior to when the star agreed a deal with him back in September.
Unger-Hamilton told Q magazine: "Lana knows what she wants like few artists I've ever met.
"She likes to control every aspect of her career. Often we come across someone who is really good at writing songs or singing them, but Lana is that rare thing - someone who can do it all."
Del Rey has previously confirmed that her debut album Born To Die will be released on January 30 in the UK and January 31 in the US.
Talking about how hip-hop inspired the record, the 25-year-old explained: "People talking about their lives - it gave me the freedom to write about whatever I felt over whatever strange melody I wanted."
The album's title single 'Born To Die' will be available to download on January 23.

Certainly in my post there was no intention of suggesting only fans should be allowed in Lana threads, it's a free world after all. My particular point was expressing surprise at the same faces appearing in Lana threads to post negative stuff. Maybe it's just me but there are many many artists I don't rate at all. Consequently I have zero interest in them. That's why you won't find me cropping up in threads about them once let alone multiple times. But like I say maybe it's just me.
