I think she should probably release more serious lead single. Something like "Don't Tell Me" or "Complicated".

yeah...I also think public is here for that. Too bad it looks like another TBDT from the tweets about the 5th album. I will be satisfied with whatever album. I like both of her sides. But for the commercial success, I think the more serious (rock ) album would be better.

People still consider her as a teenager rather than an adult who has even built a charity to help disabled kids!

She needs to change the image by releasing more serious singles!

I don't think it matters whether the album is upbeat or serious as long as it's what Avril wants. When its forced it wont work but if Avril really wants something and puts all her energy into something it just seems to work. Personally I'd like an even mx of upbeat funner songs and mid-tempo/slower more serious songs
