Exactly, it's not going to sound exactly the same. Plus we don't know whether or not Make You Mine is even the same song as Past Life, regardless of the lyric similarity.

The string arrangement is played too quickly to fit the song we have, unless the old demo was sped up or the song has big changes in speed throughout.

The sheet music Ben tweeted was mostly eighth notes and sixteenth notes, so I suppose the second one is more likely.

I loved make you mine for the simplicity and how beautiful her vocals were in even a LQ snippet. I hope the final isn't too complicated with the instruments being added and that it over shadows her vocals because they were what made the song so great. still though, it's my favourite song from the new album so far.

Yes, I noticed that too, but I didn't think a lot into it. Honestly I hope they aren't making it a midtempo. I wish for it to have the pace and overall sound that we heard in Wayne's and Ke$ha's first recordings. It sounded beautiful imo, like the kind of ballad that probably wouldn't end up a single but a real album gem.

But if Wayne and Ben Folds are the kind of people in charge of the production then I'm not too worried actually. I'm sure it will be good either way then.

End of September we will get a release date plus single name. Then middle of October get the single and then album info (which will be released in late December or early January)
