There were disasters, manmade and natural, which wiped out MUCH greater of our population long before any doomsday predictions. People die, and Mother Nature smacks us down with a pimp hand, and the world keeps on turning. It's nothing out of the ordinary.

We'll find out but this year has been bad. A month ago, before the Earthquake and Hurricane Irene, we have spent more than double our average income on natural disasters per year. Which is scary. We are putting our economy into a huge recession.
I don't know how our economy is going to get itself on it's feet again.
