This was bound to happen anyways. If Britney Spears went #1 in 19 countries without a Grammy's performance, how can't LADY GAGA be #1 in 23 countries?
It isn't a record though. 4 Minutes was #1 in 31 countries.

Born This Way topped iTunes in 23 countries the day it was released. Lady Gaga's Grammy performance had no influence on that whatsoever.
There are only 23 countries with an iTunes store.

4 Minutes hit #1 in 31 countries, not on iTunes, on official charts. That's what I meant. As for #1 on iTunes in 23 countries, yes that is a record. The Grammy's performance will keep it at #1 everywhere for a long time, and more promo to come so GaGa will be able to score big first numbers.

So given that you acknowledge the iTunes record and that it was done before the Grammy performance, which part of your original post makes any sense at all?
