anyway im not even hating on gaga because her motives (or that of her management, who the **** knows) at least sounds nice, but she's shooting herself in the foot with this and it's not giving both her & her fans a very good look. it's starting to look very cultish. maybe a help line (FREE of charge), not marketed as just for her fans, but for everyone (maybe she can team up with some suicide hotlines or whatever), would be more beneficial
what the hell are some of you talking about? How can anyone actually complain about having free counseling services available in case someone wishes to take advantage of it? This is getting nothing but good press for Gaga and the foundation. There are young people in every fanbase that are bullied or depressed and need someone to talk to, it's delusional to think otherwise. Gaga is setting up a taligate/party zone before the concert that also happens to have counsellors, this is fully in line with the mission of the Born This Way Foundation. The reason she's trying it this way is to help remove the stigma of getting help for personal issues, which obviously is needed just by reading the replies in this thread from people making fun of the enterprise, Gaga, and her fans. There is absolutely nothing bad about his, and everything good. I'm sure that the on-site counsellors will be recommending local resources for those that really need further help, thats part of the point is to guide people to the help they need.
The real LOSERS are those making fun of people trying to help make positive change in peoples lives. You all give your own stanbases a bad name, and I'm sure not a single one of the people you stan for would support you in belittling this effort.
How bout this from NNN:

Serving everyone some born this way realness…
There really is something to be said about that Lady Gaga…
Just as soon as we were getting ready to write her off as someone whose attitude and judgment had become clouded by fame, she goes and does the most amazing thing ever — free counseling on her upcoming Born This Way Ball tour.
“I feel like most kids don’t look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around ‘help’ and make it fun,” LG wrote on her Facebook page.
To some this might seem contrived, or even stupid, but given Gaga’s message of accepting all, and her giant teenage fan base, this is sure to have a major positive impact.
We are Team Gaga, yet again. And shall remain so for a long, long time.
Still not sure where people are saying its only for fans. She never said that, but common sense dictates that if you're at a Gaga concert, then odds are you are already a fan. People on here like to throw the word "delusional" around, and well, the ones trying to condemn this are the truly delusional ones.
You can always tell when Gaga is doing something right by the amount of backlash there is. Unfortunately this time around the backlash is only further perpetuating the idea that getting help is uncool.
