''Twenty years from now, will we listen to Lady Gaga? No. She might think she is making a stand for the freaks and the weirdos. But they're not going to have any decent f***ing music to play are they?''
Oh please, go listen to The Fame Monster and shut the hell up, you probably haven't even heard anything but Born This Way.
Why is it that the older people become, the less they respect today's music? I don't understand how someone can claim that music used to be better - it's all subjective. And seriously, Gaga has her share of "decent f***ing music" in her discography.

''Her album gets played a lot around my house by my daughter and it's Madonna-lite. Madonna was hardcore. She took it to the edge musically as well as everything else.

I'm Mexican and have lived for years in the U.S. and in Denmark and they have been massive in the three countries
Judging by their sales, they are far bigger in Europe than anywhere else (they've only had one multiplatinum album in the U.S.).
I'm American and while I've heard of them, they're certainly not MASSIVE like, say, The Beatles or Queen. Can't speak for Mexico (and of course, Denmark is in Europe ).

Of course they have never reached The Beatles or Queen's level but you have to admit they have been one of the hugest band to emerge in the past 2 decades
Oasis isn't really massive outside of Europe, I don't blame that poster if they've never heard of them.
Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova are pretty well known songs in the US. However, I don't think Oasis as a band is well known out side of Europe. They really only had 2 hit songs a long time ago in the US. There are bands with much more hits in the US that Americans are generally clueless about.

I honestly don't get why Madonna has to keep this all going, either. Yes, I know it probably attracts attention and money for her, but so the hell what? Is it really a crime to be inspired by someone? Madonna herself certainly had idols to look up to and to model herself after in some way.
The worst part about all this is that this is between my two favorite artists of all time.

You mean Noel Gallagher frontman of one of the most legendary and influential bands in pop culture?
That's like saying Rush is one of THE most influential bands to have ever existed.
Lady Gaga Xtina Katy Perry Marilyn Manson Grimes
Azealia Banks Florence + The Machine Carrie Underwood Miley Cyrus MS MR
Goldfrapp Brooke Candy Ladytron The Pretty Reckless Katy B The Dixie Chicks Slayer Lana Del Rey

From an American perspective, both Coldplay and Linkin Park are bigger than Oasis. I'm not even kidding.

.
Just as an informal survey, I asked my brother just now "have you ever heard of Oasis?"
"Oasis? Uh...I might have, I don't know."
