In 2008, Poker Face and Just Dance was constantly being spammed on the radio and I never really paid much attention to it until I saw the music video. From there, I kinda fell slowly in love.
I didn't start to stan for her until like 2009 though, when the TFM came out. That's when I knew she was really something out of this world.
Somehow, I came across a video of 'I Am Not A Robot' and I was completely in trance. I immediately bought 'The Family Jewels' and obsessively watched her music videos on repeat.
For Amy, I've known about her since middle school but didn't really start to seriously get into her until like a year ago. Still depressed that she died.
She could have done so much.
And as for Rihanna, my family LOVED her music when she came on the scene with Pon De Play. I was mildly interested but not invested enough to be an actual fan. That quickly changed though when GGGB was released, she changed her look, and released the music video for Disturbia which still continues to slay my soul to this day.
