Many people have said that here & actually argued it quite well.
I definitely don't agree with it, but I'm up for all kinds of different opinions & interesting discussions.

Currently Stanning For: Azealia, Beyoncé, Britney, Frank, Gaga, Katharine, JT, Kendrick, Lana, Shakira, Spice Girls

This thread obviously isn't here for discussion though. It's just another one of your shady Britney threads to get people to say Britney is the new Paula.

I'd say Marilyn Monroe, but out of those options it's def. Janet. The similarities between Britney & Madonna are quite vague.

What physiological problems? Other than the Grammy comment it would sound like you're describing your fave, are you confused???

Except unlike Paula and Janet, the controversy surrounding her personal and professional life did not end her career or significantly damage it enough to have a negative impact. Britney came out of her dark period stronger and went on to have major success in spite of her past problems and the media attempting to craft a narrative that she's always on the verge of losing it.
To be in the 14th year of her career, more socially relevant than in her peak, evolving with an industry that is now driven more by singles than album sales, still able to grab #1s on her own, career high radio success, the highest paid judge on a musical competition, selling out world tours with a moderately successful album (unlike some of her peers who had to resort to canceling tours because of an flop underperforming album and flop underwhelming singles) and so much more just proved how much like them she is not.

Me neither
Michael also danced, so what..
Madonna always first.

..I would definitely not be here, doing what I'm doing, if it wasn't for Madonna. I remember being eight or nine years old, running around my living room singing and dancing and wanting so much to be like her. All my girlfriends still listen to her stuff. We're all mesmerized by her...

Sounds about right.
"Why is Taylor Swift regarded as such a good role model anyway? I wouldn't want any daughter/niece of mine to grow into a girl-bashing, *****-shaming, boy-crazy, eternally-virginal damsel in distress who seems to perennially look at the world through the prism of a victim. That's not empowering. That's not even healthy." - U4EA
