I totally agree with you, her voice fits best with country.

I couldn't be happier that she's doing pop and I'm going to support her 100% this new era.

Because The Climb was performed on American Idol and The Voice recently so naturally the original song would receive a jump. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that basic researchable knowledge out.
Party In The USA was just a good party song that appealed to the masses of Pop and Country.
I've got something to say to you, so shut up and listen

1. No one performed The Climb on The Voice. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that basic researchable knowledge out.
2. The Climb was in the top 500-600 before it was performed on American Idol, it always is.
3. I'm not sure how you're going to say Miley has no pop appeal, then now just say that Party In The USA appeals to the pop and country masses? What kind of oxymoron...

#Oop I could sworn it was performed on The Voice recently too.
Top 500 - 600 is 1,000 or less downloads a week, which is fine.
When did I say she has NO pop appeal? I said she should stick to Country because pop fans aren't really here for her anymore. Party In The USA appeals to both genres, not that hard to understand. I knew some Miley fans needed reading comprehension lessons but not like this.
I've got something to say to you, so shut up and listen

1,000 or so copies sold is a lot more than I could say for some other singers, especially considering the song is 3 years old and has already pushed upwards of 3 million downloads.
Personally, I think it's safe to say pop fans are still here for her but whatever makes you feel better.

Exactly what I said. Pop fans aren't really here for her anymore, I didn't state ALL pop fans, and I certainly didn't say she doesn't have ANY pop appeal. Putting words in my mouth won't work if I'm directly quoting myself sry2say.
The Climb is an inspirational song that was able to crossover to multiple radio formats and still gets decent recurrent airplay.
She can return to pop, I'm not saying she'll be successful either way. I just think she'd do better in country, but you can continue making crap up if that makes you feel better.
I've got something to say to you, so shut up and listen

Not with this "putting words in my mouth" mess. Saying pop fans aren't here for Miley (ie: Miley doesn't appeal to pop fans) and then saying that Party In The USA only sells because it had pop appeal doesn't make any sense on your part, that's all I'm saying.
I fail to see what "crap" I'm making up but oh well. I'm glad you're considerate and keeping tabs as to Miley's career.

I never said that in the way you're saying it at all. Her last album proved that her pop fanbase was dwindling. Party In The USA and The Climb are two former Pop hits that also crossed over to other genres, and The Climb was recently performed on American Idol, explaining it's increase into the top 200. The soundtrack to the Hannah Montana Movie, was mostly country influenced and is her most successful release since the Hannah Montana 2 soundtrack. Party In The USA also has country influences, but that's neither here nor there, as just because it's selling a few hundred downloads a week doesn't mean anything significant.
You're failing to see the context in which I put "really" in my original post and just trying to start trouble because I'm a fan of another former Disney artist. To put it frank, you're failing to see the objectivity in my post because of the aforementioned fact and because you're focusing on your version of my statement, in an effort to try to prove you are the only one who can be right. It's quite sad actually.
I've got something to say to you, so shut up and listen

The Hannah Montana the movie OST + When Look At You + I Hope You Find It + Party in the USA are flawless
And she slayed that Bob Dylan song earlier this year too

What genres did Party In The USA branch into?
I understand by now that you'd prefer a country direction, but a statement as blunt as "pop fans aren't really here for her anymore" doesn't really have as many context clues as you may be leading yourself to believe. So sorry.
You said Miley doesn't really have pop fans, I pointed out she's still selling pop songs, you seemed to contradict yourself, I pointed it out, and now I'm not entirely sure what you're even arguing at this point. Your statements have been a bit vague, so my apologies for reading into them incorrectly.
But I'd like if we stopped responding to one another as I wouldn't want this thread to be muddled/closed.

That would be ideal and likely to occur had you not replied to me asking a question and in the manner in which you did.
Party In The USA very clearly has country and Reggae influences incorporated into its production that assisted the song in its ascent up the charts. Also, coming off success of The Climb, the song was able to become a success on the Hot AC chart. The song, always has a resurgence in the summer as well because of its lyrical content. Overall, it's a well constructed pop song with other elements.
Just because I say she "doesn't really have pop appeal" doesn't mean her former pop songs are banished from existence. After all, its my opinion. It merely means that in current times, her music doesn't seem likely to be as successful in pop. Part or it is the characteristics of her vocals. While they are pop friendly, they lean more towards country.
Now hopefully all "vague" portions of my replies have been carefully explained for your understanding. If you truly want this discussion to end, and the thread to stay open, I suggest we leave it at this.
It's odd, however, that my simple comment on the first page became the subject of debate, when others prior to this have been malicious in intent and don't undergo such scrutiny.
I've got something to say to you, so shut up and listen

She was huge, she's simply faded into nothing. Let's see how good of a comeback they can organize for her.
It's pretty hard getting sick of whatever you're going through

Now you see, this post would've been much prettier if the last two names weren't included. This thread is about Miley and Miley only. If you want to express your pressed little feelings direct your ignorant self to SYG or just go to twitter.
No freedom until we're equal, damn right I support it...
