The fact her singles are generic doesn't mean she's not good.

People love her, she sells albums, singles and is famous. You don't have to be special or create something new to be part of the music industry

Katy is by far more succesful than Nicki in US and WW, so people care more about her in the industry than Nicki, is a fact.

And Nicki raps, but she's not selling millions because of that, she's not the biggest female rapper of all time, she's just moderate succesful rapper who's releasing pop songs in order to sell more singles.

Katy would surely be more missed, but she could be replaced in a heartbeat. Stop talking to me about Nicki, again, I don't give a **** about her. There is most certainly no one who can replace her; end of the story.

Katy's a brand at this point, and she's managed to capitalize on generic music to the point where people identify it as her signature sound. Even the pop half of RR got compared to Katy.
