We Found Love was a very weird hit (I mean, it just didn't want to fade away yet it was not THAT everywhere idk) and they released YDO while WFL wasn't over... There was no hype / no promo for that second single either... But it was #1 worthy, just like TTT which could have DESTROYED the charts if she hadn't released Cake (which is another hit lmao)

Except it didn't.. coulda been, woulda been.. but it didn't.
This is her true 2nd single IMO.. the rest were just flops holding people over til WFL dropped off.
Talk That Talk would've never been a hit.. it's bland, and extremely generic.. it's one of her worst singles.
Hopefully 'Drunk On Love' and 'Roc Me Out' are next.

It was only a promo single and never intended to be a success. In fact they planned for it to flop and asked radio to pay the song dust so that people will be HYPED when the real lead single comes. That's just how genius they are. I read it was all JLos plan. JLo her business power.

I also agree with ya on the fact that WHYB is the true 2nd single as they messed up the era

You seem to not know the meaning of "generic."

but WFL and WHYB are generic true, Roc Me Out does sound way too much like Rude Boy, but DOL is not generic at all, and as far as Rihanna's usual single releases go it's definitely a turn. and besides Ri always releases a slower song as a single (i.e. California King Bed, Unfaithful, Russian Roulette, etc.)

With the songs on the radio lately I think We All Want Love has smash potential.
It's so summer-y. Would do best in August or something, I hope she takes a chance.

DYT is lovely and all, but it doesn't sound like a smash Deffo in the top 3 of the album though (along with FOL and WHYB)

What does WFL and WHYB sound like that's currently on the radio? Oh. Nothing.
What does WFL and WHYB sound like that Ri has done before? Oh. Nothing.
Both RMO and DOL both sound like Stargate leftovers. RMO especially to Rude Boy, and nothing is special about either of them.
WAWL is pop/rock ballad that is distinctive, and could do well with current climate of the charts.

Seriously? I compare WFL to Feel So Close and anyone can admit that WHYB's lyrics are pretty generic and common throughout the meaning in many other songs.
And.. what does Rihanna's past songs have to do with this? Because I'm getting the feeling that you're saying because Rihanna has never done a generic song, nothing of her's ever will be
