Absolutely. It has many medical purposes. They need to legalize it and tax the **** out of it so we can start putting some money back into the economy. Amazing, considering the amount of lives lost to alcohol and tobacco that we still have weed being an illegal substance in the country.

Depending on the circumstances of its legalization, if tobacco starts controlling it, then it will probably get ****ed up. If, like Jameson says, it'll continue being distributed medically, then it should be just fine.

I wouldn't be surprised if tobacco companies had plans for it either. If you know of any article about it, I'd love to read it.
I do not support any form of de jure, legal recreational use of marijuana. Even if it is severely limited, I would be worried that the tobacco interest groups would lobby congress to slowly relax regulations on it. They already have a lot of influence on policy as it is.
About medical marijuana. That is tricky. I'm not a doctor, so I can't really rule it out. The thing is, the FDA doesn't approve of any medication that is used via smoking. Esp. since it is not difficult to synthesize plant material into pill form. In fact, we already have it. It's called marinol. It is essentially the same as marijuana, except you don't smoke it. Thus, eliminating the major negative of marijuana. It's already legal through a prescription.

Although there is a pill form of marijuana, there is definitely some incentive for the government to strictly have that as opposed to the plant form. The medication itself needs to be synthesized and is rather expensive, while the plant is far easier to grow and manufacture and distribute.

Yes, anyone who says no needs to think about the facts.
If it is legalized it could be taxed and regulated like alcohol and cigarettes, tax money would be saved keeping people out of jail and stopping investigations. A large chunk of the evil mexican cartels revenue would be gone. Marijuanna is fine in moderation and probably less harmful than alcohol and cigarettes.
I much prefer smoking a little mary jane every once in a in a while than drinking and for the amount it takes me to get high vs. the amount of alcohol it takes me to get drunk it's much cheaper.

I believe there was a study that showed that alcohol actually kills more braincells than marijuana. There are also so many medical positives from the drug. So, I say yes.

Yes, it should be legalized tbh.
I'm personally not here for marijuana though, it's kind of stinky.

Yes because that has worked soooo well for the past 30 years! I say we take the route of Portugal and decriminalize all drugs. They've seen a huge decrease in crime and teenagers and adults using drugs such as weed and heroin.

Of course, but it's not gonna happen until we get money out of politics. Marijuana prohibition benefits large and influential companies.

And when you think about it. The ethanol that we consume in alcohol is ACTUALLY the anaerobic waste product of yeast that undergo fermentation in order to perform cellular respiration so ....
it's okay to drink another organisms waste but not to use a plant? k.
