Songwriting

I think songwriting is valued more but u can't really put 1 higher than the other because dancing and poetry are both forms of self-expression, and art.

There are some artists who could do both (Dance +song write) like Madonna and Janet Jackson, but I don't think one aspect should be put above another.

I want to be given LIFE when I see an artist perform. Even a bad song can be made good with good dancing. A boring well written song is, well, a boring well written song.

That is true, of course. Having good, well-written music is just (much) more important to me when considering my favorite pop artists, though.

Plus madonna writes all her own songs and she is about to embark on a 300million grossing tour. That says something.
