Gay marriage passed but our fat ass flop of a governor vetoed it. Luckily whenever our new gov comes he can just sign it.

I don't know how to vote but if I'd marry a girl, it wouldn't be marriage equal to boy-girl marriage, there would be some differences. So yes, I can marry a girl but it wouldn't a "normal" marriage, it would be something we call "registered partnership" (I don't know if it's called the same in the world).

Rhode Island has some weird type of civil union available but it's heavily criticized. We'll probably be one of the next states to legalize same-sex marriage, though.

No, in my country we (Same-sex marriage) get some kind of paper thing that get the right of division of assets and get us as a ''partner living in the same house'' status, but not married, and cerimony it's forbidden, a mess! 
Paying tax it's a obligation though, rights for the population it's not a big deal...  I dream of the day the world won't be a **** place and we're all gonna have the same rights!
