Ugh, the dreaded 3 month hiatus is upon us. 4th season production starts in July! I don't know why people were expecting Katherine to make an appearance, she had no purpose in this story-line.
That was one hell of a finale, I don't even know what to think really.
Actually saw the Elena turning vamp thing weeks ago so wasn't too shocked about that. Still was mad cool how they did it though.
Figured Alaric was a goner since Matt Davis has a new show next season. Still was sad as hell though when Jeremy realized that because he was seeing ghost!Alaric that meant his sister was dead.
Bonnie being a bit of a badass? Awesome. Though that will throw a serious kink in her friendship with Caroline when Care finds out that Bonnie basically conspired to kill her boyfriend.
Speaking of, that was the biggest shocker for me - the whole Tyler/Klaus switch-a-roo. I'm actually super confused. Did they actually switch bodies or has Klaus merely possessed Tyler's? Was there even anyone in Klaus' body when he was staked? If so, does that mean Tyler (who would have been within the body) is gone for good or is he just being supressed in his own body by Klaus? Basically, my question is surrounding what the heck they are going to do next season - is Joseph Morgan gone for good since it appears that Klaus' body burned? Is Michael Trevino going to be tasked with "playing" Klaus for the rest of the series? Or is there a way for the show to keep them both, meaning is there a way to "revive(?)" Klaus' body? ... Crap, I'm confusing myself.
Basically, as somebody who likes both Tyler, Klaus, and both actors, I'm gonna be a bit bummed if any of them are gone for good.
Can we discuss the drowning scene? Definitely one of the most powerful parallel scene ever on this show. It was so hauntingly horrific, Elena and her father, how he pointed at her and she pointed at Matt. Wonderfully shot scene!

I completely lost it when they showed her father telling Stefan to save Elena, and then they flashed to her telling him to save Matt. It was such a powerful scene, I still cant believe what I've watched.
Does anyone realise that with Elena becoming a vampire she's going to remember EVERYTHING Damon made her forget??? That includes they meeting first AND the declaration he made to her in season 2. This series never let's me down.
And also, with her emotions and personality hightened, she might get some Damon cravings.
