If her momentum had been down, her tour wouldn't have sold out in mere seconds or whatever it did. Despite what ATRL thinks because of Marry the Night's flopping, the album reached a wide audience of about 6 million people plus other casual fans who at least support her, spread positive word about her etc.

During the last months of 2011, partly because of some huge overexposure, Gaga's career was evidently losing momentum.

Oh?
Where are your observations coming from? ATRL reactions?

How do you re-gain momentum? I honestly think this term is so overused here. You can't be on top all the time. But yeah, this little "break" from the general should be good for her. 'Cause even though people still talk about her she's not everywhere. But you know what? I just want her to keep releasing good music. That's what's important. All this flop talk don't mean ****.

While it might have declined, it's hardly a "strong" decline....

She promoted the **** out of MTN and the song bombed everywhere, that's what the OP meant.
And I don't think tour numbers mean re-gaining momentum (just look at MDNA numbers and her tour numbers). She is a WW icon, that's why it was expected that her tour numbers were going to be good.
But being low-profile is the best think she can do. BTW era turned off a lot of people, she passed from being the new cool chick with amazing music videos to a weird/ try too hard artist with even weirder music videos. It will make her re-gain some of the momentum that she lost during the BTW era

Some old dike with pink streaks in her hair (she was AUSTRALIAN) comes over and stans out with them- telling the dikes how she's going again tonight. I mean I'm just sat over here having my breakfast, and suddenly the horrid caterwauling of So What starts blaring through a phone. A stereotypical mess. All her stans are dikes, Australians, and Australian dikes.

Maybe outside of the US. I can't speak for everyone but I feel like Gaga's still seen as a villain by a lot of the public. Especially with Adele still having continued success. I'd say that she's not in as low of a position as she was during Y&I/MTN eras though.

I'd say it peaked after BTW 's single release and the first album week...I wouldn't have said those sales represented any kind of decline!

She was Top 10 during the Yoü & I era.
Marry the Night's flopdom is overrated. It happens to the best of them. I'm more impressed she got a song like Yoü & I to do as well as it did.

6 million is good. But 35% of those sales came from the 1st week sales . It didn't have much longevity and it fell wayyy too short compared with TFM numbers (16 Million)
