used too when I was 13 and my parents were like " ok kid, you need to grow up from drinking that damn syrup and to take pills instead to stop being a ***** " and also they say to me " it''s only as wide as a pencil, if you can put a damn pencil in your mouth yu sure can swallow a pill"

but now I take them with ease

No. With many medicines, chewing would result in an ineffective dose. Besides it probably tastes bitter and nasty as hell.

I was when I was a kid, I'd just spit it out all the time.

So my mom used to make a dessert with bananas and secretly put the pill inside it, so I'd eat it without even noticing.
