Bieber doesn't. 'My World,' 'My World 2.0,' 'My Worlds Acoustic,' and 'My Worlds: The Collection' combined sold less than 8 million worldwide. Not to mention that 70% of his sales come from the US. The only way he is comparable to Usher.

no, Bieber is Bieber and is a teen hype, like Jonas Bros. and Tokio Hotel
Bieber will have a much harder time to actually build up a good career, as mature star, he has the same problems as Miley Cyrus and stuff, his fanbase excists of mostly (pre-)teens and he can't move too fast because that will alienate him from his fanbase, but if he moves to slow, he will not make any progress careerwise.

Justin Timberlake was in a group, but because of his career change to solo, he was able to also try different things and show himself while growing up, since it was all a big change up anyway and the fanbase he build up in the group he was in basically/possibly grew into that change, while gaining also tons of new fans.

And imo, Justin's biggest "problem" is that he still looks 15 with no sex appeal. He can't build an adult (female) fanbase like Justin Timberlake and release an album like Futuresex/Lovesounds with a straight face. And since women won't take him or his music seriously, men won't either.
