video came out and I decided that I liked it.
"Talk That Talk" will be my favorite from this era, though.

Being a music omnivore I probably am not the right example but I am now in my 30s and me and my friends all like Where Have You Been.

It's a good feel song and it can appeal to the casual listener pretty well, and that is the kind of buying public that determines huge selling figures.

If a song makes you bump and sing when you listen to it at work, driving car, in stores waiting lines, and so on, that song is bound to have a good chart run generally and Where Have You Been has those qualities certainly not just for Rihanna's fans (I am a casual Rihanna listener but all of her songs with a good dancey vibe have appeal to me).

This song will be a very good hit for her, the more the sunny season approaches.

Plus it has not to be forgotten that it's gonna be a worldwide hit and in these times if a song from a well known artist has relevance at the same time in multiple Countries it may improve chart performances everywhere in the globe.

I can't avoid to smile a bit seeing how much a simple song (but a very nice pop song, with all qualitues that make pop songs being well accepted, sung, received and BOUGHT) like Payphone polarizes tastes here.

It's not like it has to be the greatest song ever to get that (likely in my opinion) number one spot.

It has to have the wider appeal and being someway remarkable for people in a span moment, and weather here it is liked or not, that song has those factors: it's cute to be sung along, it has a very melodic root to it, it comes from someone popular right now and it's already a huge hit.

It's certainly not bad for being "just" a pop song.

On another note, here in Italy John Legend's beautiful "Tonight (Best You've Ever Had)" is being well received...
It makes me sad in USA it's not.

I hope John's stint on Duets can bump its sales and success.

To be honest I wasn't actively writing in music forums since ten years ago, when I used to hang in Oasis's ones mostly

But I read a lot when at the office I have spare time... and I listen and listen to so much music, so I guess I try to appreciate the most from every type of it.

I try my best to write decently, and age helps I guess
