I'm out at school, but if people think I'm straight I don't correct them or care; a lot of people don't know and always think I'm going out/should go out with my girl friends who I always talk to because they think we look so in love and are perfect for each other.

I don't tell people I'm gay, except for a few people years ago. Too weird for me, I let gossiping high schoolers spread it if they care. But I don't think anyone cares enough to treat me differently.

I've told it to some of my friends and they were completely fine with it. Even my straight male friends.
I've decided to not tell it to everyone, but I'll say the truth if they ask me.

I'm out only to the people that I want involved in my private life. Sexuality is just... irrelevant to me. Work and school consume too much of my time to think about people's perception of my sexual taste.

I wish I could be. I will be after I graduate from college, tho. I just can't afford to have any kind of conflicts right now due to being gay.

My mom (the only relative that does) and a few close friends know, but I don't really keep in contact with any of them. It's like I'm still all the way in the closest even though I came out to a few people who probably told a bunch of other people.

No. Haven't told anyone at college or work because it's none of their business.
At work they're VERY playful and their games most of the time involves gay sexual play. There's this guy that's caught me from behind and humps me like he's ****ing me, hardcore it's ****ing awkward for me.
I know all that sounds weird but I swear these people at work are strange. Maybe it was just something started by someone weird and so the rest began to play along.

I think it's gotten better a bit, as I said to Omega, but not exactly like they're accepting it, so much as keeping the rage/hate away from me. Yeah, I got lucky there. But it was before the gay hate crime laws were passed so they couldn't get anything harsher. But wow, that's ****ed up. I can't beleive they weren't punished for that.

I really hope things keep improving for you. It's terrible that we live in a world/country where that stuff is viewed as "normal" and people accept the hate. We shouldn't have to live like that. Just keep your head up and hope for the best.

I'm out to whoever asks in college--all my friends know, for sure. My high school friends know, too. I'm not working right now, and whether I'm out will really depend on who I'm working with over the summer.

It's so true, though.

That's the way to do it. At my housekeeping job, I never mentioned dating or anything because I mostly worked with 40+ year old women. I kept to myself. But since I worked with gossipy twenty-somethings now, it's different.

Do you also get the, "Oh my god! So, I saw a gay person today and I totally thought of you!" comments?

I know. I get them A LOT. It's kind of funny and offensive at the same time. Like gay people are some rare, endangered breed.

No, I haven't even considered coming out at school. This one out kid in my grade gets so much **** for it. People yell "gay" and "****" in different languages () at him all the time. And about 99% of my friends are all out homophobes. They gay bash all the time just to keep up their "thug" rep
Oh and they've also said the stupidest **** about gays like "Gay people stop being gay at 40 because they realize it's not worth it anymore" "They turn gay for attention" etc etc. They even went apeshit when they found out Anderson Cooper was gay

I'm bisexual and only my friends and like one cousin knows. It's pretty obvious that people know I'm bisexual. It doesn't make them mad or anything. People who I haven't told are just basically waiting for me to blurt it out to everybody.
