Selling the album for 99 cent for more than a week didn't help either. at least when amazon did it with gaga, the album sold 1 M first week.

Breaking the silence about her boyfriend punching her in the face a week before the release didn't help either. Trying to act like a role model for "young girls" didn't help the album either.

All of that and a HUGE hit and the album still failed.

The Navy gets cocky because Rihanna is the best selling digital artist, one of the thousands artists that have outsold beyonce, she has a movie smashing in the box office while she got good reviews on it, because she has hundreds of records that aren't just "the first black woman to.." and still gets them even on her "decline" and so on

Beyonce will always be better than Rihanna. That's just how it is Rihanna will have more hits, worldwide sales etc, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty Beyonce is THE ONE.

I thought you guys didn't cling on local achievements? That song still didn't help that album and none of her other albums to get to #1.
