I prefer Xtina's discography over Britney's. But can't deny I enjoy some of Britney's songs.
This is ATRL, so we know who's going to win, in fact, who's winning already.

After their debuts, they took different ways when it comes to music. So, I think this comparison is kind of out of line.
I'm not seeing Britney pulling off a Back to Basics, for example.

I don't think it really matters that "this is ATRL". Christina makes mainstream music and the forum is just agreeing on who does it better.

For a pop act, I think Britney has the better discography. Britney's music has not changed too much since her early days, so. Xtina's? well, most of her music is not even that popish.

While Britney stuck to the genre of Pop, she has progressed musically within the particular sound. That's what makes her discography better. If Christina hadn't been forcing every idea on every album, maybe people would be more receptive. She even did the "popish" sound too hard (Bionic).

And I don't think because she changes her sound every album means her music is above anyone elses/Britney. She doesn't do it well.

Britney's discography has changed which is one of the main reason's why she is still here. As a pop star, many are not given the opportunity to really change and evolve. Britney has had impact in teen pop (BOMT), cheesy pop songs and ballads (OIDIA, Not a girl), urban pop (Slave for you), electro/dance pop (Toxic), european, dark dance pop (Gimme more/Blackout), half baked covers (My prerogrative), girl anthem pop (Womanizer), dubstep influenced pop (HIAM/TTWE remix)...
On album tracks she's done darker stuff, more adult contemporary (Shadow/state of grace) and even hip hop (Boom boom/outrageous) and faux carribean dancehall (The hookup).

She evolves in front of and with the sound of pop music and puts her signature Britney on it making it more memorable than the lessers. It's a major part of her consistency. I couldn't image her singing get naked back in 98' nor singing Dear Diary in 2012...

She is the ultimate 21st pop icon...seethe, foam, accept and deal boo boo. LOL

I agree. The pop that is made for Britney is better than the one Xtina tries to do.
I never said her catalogue is better because she changes her sounds constantly. But you cannot deny it's for sure riskier.
