I'm ready for a new Namie and Utada album. I'm sure Kumi won't stay gone for long. I think Meisa is over and hmm I'mma need Ayu to step up the quality of her music. The "five" mini album showed she still has potential to make great music.

It is pretty annoying but most of the stuff gets uploaded on iTunes Japan or released on CD eventually.

The music is actually DRM-restricted. They cater to the Japanese population that uses non-smartphones (which is the majority) and they restrict it so that the songs can only be opened on the purchased phone. It's not worth the effort to strip the DRM if the song is eventually going to be released through other outlets eventually. It's not that easy!

The Ultimate J-Pop Diva Rate!

With the help of my good sis Britneyfan09 I present to you guys the ultimate J-Pop diva rate! For this rate we decided to pick the 10 most scrobbled songs from each diva on Last fm. For those of you not familiar with the many rates happening in the Base section of ATRL here's how it works. You will listen to each song from each diva's list and rate each song out of 10. After that you will PM me, SO.UNCOOL with your ranks and I shall talley them up then post the results in this thread! The deadline to submit your rates is May 31st!
