Awful posts as always.

The One That Got Away, E.T., Teenage Dream
This album was alright overall, but it was made to be very mainstream. I never really liked the style of this album or most of the tracks. A lot of the songs on the album were C tracks and seemed to be fillers. "The One That Got Away" is the shining star for me on this album. The catchy beat and simple lyrics really come together great on this track.

Finally somebody with decent taste.

"Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection" by Katy Perry
Score: 70/100
Best tracks: Teenage Dream, Last Friday Night, The One The Got Away
This album has a clear vision and consistency in sound throughout the entire album. Although the theme of this album has been done a million times, Perry brings her songwriting quirks and potent vocals into every track. It's clear that it's all one album - Perry knows what sound she's going for, and how she wants this album different from One of the Boys. All in all, it's a successful album with catchy tracks. However, the latter half of the album is significantly weaker than the first half, and there doesn't seem to be any thought behind the track order.

Score: 40/100
Standout-tracks: E.T, Circle The Drain and Hummingbird Heartbeat
Let me start of saying that it's could've been much better. It's not as bad as people make it. I know I gave it a 40/100 but at least I did not give it a 20/100. So let's start.
The album as a whole is just bad, this album is a perfect example of just making hits and not really thinking about quality. Look at Katy's One of The Boys, a very good album. She had a lot of potential but she just wasted it all with this crap. It's desperate and just bad for your image. Nobody takes you serious as an artist. Making songs about a guy's dick, singing about california gurls and ****. I know these songs are fun and should not be taken serious but it's just bad for the album. I think the album did not meet its proceeder is because it's just not as good as that one. I get that you want to experiment with a new sound, try new things. But this album is not how you do it. E.T. is an amazing song, the lyrics are really nice. The beat is probably my favorite it has really that space theme to it. The music video is probably her best ever however I wished she danced in it but oh well. Circle The Drain really goes back to her early days of One of The Boys. It's pop/rock which I love, that's the Katy I want. She can experiment with new sounds but at least do it right. Hummingbird Heartbeat is just very nice song, so sweet and I always compare it to Last Friday Night. Hummingbird Heartbeat is obviously better. I just hope we get a much better album from her the next time because this was not it.
I got a cute face and my booty is so fat.

We should do MDNA, The Fame, Circus, or Loud next

70/100
1. Teenage Dream
2. Wide Awake
3. Firework
you're never gonna ever take away her chart accomplishments.it's been almost two years since "Teenage Dream" was released. it's still sitting pretty on the charts. her multi platinum album has had great longevity and has given her the biggest hits of her career. six number one singles from the album and a #3 peaking single. who could say Katy did not slay the other girls during this era? her radio accomplishments have been amazing. Katy's second album record sales have made her into one of the best selling female artists of all time. the album is filled with hit after hit and that explains why everything except "The One That Got Away" went number one. 'Teenage Dream' is a perfect song about how love makes you feel like you're young again. 'Wide Awake' has to be one of Katy's best songs of her career! the track from the re-release is expected and wanted as the second single because it shows a different side of Katy. and everybody knows about her signature song, "Firework". feeling down? want to feel on top of the world? play "Firework" and wash your troubles away. it's a hit packed album but it does feel a little too "bubblegum" for this time in space. while everybody is doing "dubstep", Katy is still doing the regular pop music that might be going extinct soon. so unless Katy wants to fail with her next album, she might have to switch it up. but that shouldn't be a problem considering she switched from pop-rock to pop-pop for her second album. i also have a problem with the tracklisting. the re-release tracks should have been thrown into the original tracklisting instead of being added last. and the remixes should have disappeared. can't wait for Katy's next album.

Final Score
The final score for Katy Perry's "Teenage Dreanm: The Complete Confection"
The final reviews are Genre: Bubblegum Pop, Dance-pop, Soft Rock
Score: 68/100
Reviews: Katy started out her journey as a musician as a gospel singer, then moved on to her pop rock, new wave, and indie pop stylings of her second album, and once again switches it up, this time with electronic bubblegum, for her third album 'Teenage Dream'. Rumour has it that she'll be switching it again this time with rock, but is that best? Opinions were divided on the album, with some calling it too pop, while others thought that was exactly what it should be. Criticized for her lyrics that were as intelligent as a loaf of bread, Perry still managed to garner 6 number one singles, and solidified her as a mega-popstar. Though many criticized the album, nobody can deny that this was the smartest move for her career, and the single choices were some off the best of any recent era arguably the best of all time. All eyes are on Katy for her next album, too see if she can pull off the wonders she did with this album.
Top tracks: E.T., Hummingbird Heartbeat, Firework/Teenage Dream

Born to Die - 5.6/10
Standout Tracks - Video Games, Diet MTN Dew, Blue Jeans
After the huge critical success of lead single Video Games, Lana Del Rey had a good amount of hype riding on her for Born To Die. With an acceptable second single and title track Born to Die, it looked like this album would be a very interesting pop album. Unfortunately, Lana Del Rey is not a convincing enough songwriter or personality to create 15 wholly interesting songs. After Diet MTN Dew, one of the best songs on the tracks, the quality of the album falls off almost completely, and Lana resorts to repeating all her tricks, but in less impressive ways for the rest of the album. It only gets extremely bad on Summertime Sadness, but most songs on the album just feel pointless. It seems as of right now that Lana is a bit of a one trick pony, and she should probably work on expanding her art.

95/100
Born To Die, Blue Jeans, Carmen
"National Anthem" proves how versatile she is.It is a perfect mid-tempo Indie pop song and yet she stays true to who she is.The lyrics are (once again) dark, twisted and depressing
"Excessive buying overdosing dying".
"Born To Die" delivers something that the charts of this millenium has't seen yet.
She is hard to label. You wanna label her as fake but then again her music is way too emotional and sung with so much passion it's too great to be fake. She puts this vintage feeling in all her videos and songs. She sings about this endless love, stronger than death stronger than pain stronger than today's society.
Not often lyrics are so unique and full of life as Lana's.She just seems to be a girl caught in the American Dream. And obviously she's not sure whether she loves or hates it.
