Spankings don't work for everyone, but I wouldn't call it violence. People have been using spankings to discipline their children for centuries. It's only now in America that there is a sizable population that believes spankings are wrong.

There are plenty of historical mistakes that have been corrected. The amount of time it's been going on has nothing to do with whether it's right or whether it even works.

OOOh...I dunno then. But I see it from a US point of view. But I never was hit, but there was definitely that culture of utmost respect, hence my freaking out when I accidentally hit my dad. I was petrified. I love him though
