That's exactly my point. Katy Perry and Marina are pretty much tied because not a lot of people know Marina. People voting for her are her stans.
And Ramcoro, sure Marina is a big name around ATRL now, but a lot of people on here still probably haven't listened to her or really heard of her except for seeing her name.

I don't get why people hate Marina so much? Do you hate her BECAUSE she's not super successful? What kind of reason is that to hate her? Considering she's NOT super successful, it's not like she's in your face all the time and you are forced to listen to her. And other than once dissing Dr. Luke's production style and then making a Dr. Luke track, I don't see what would set you off about her. Why can't people who aren't into her music just ignore her? What makes her so terrible?

Most people who don't like her or her music do just ignore her, its pretty much the standard approach anyone would do if they came across an artist or some music that they didn't like.
Its the weirdos with no lives (see: the Reviews Thread) who live empty lives with no real life human interaction apart from ATRL who need to constantly hate on her and she's an easy target because she's most likely not going to sell as many records as their fave, so when push comes to shove they can throw numbers knowing their fave will always come out on top. She has a small fanbase so there's no chance they'll get completely hounded out. She's not conventionally pretty so their fave will be higher on the FHM 100 sexiest women list. etc etc etc.
To be fair though I don't think it applies to anyone in this thread.
