Shakira has just released her 'Addicted to You' video from her latest studio album, Sale El Sol. I'm assuming this is the last video we're getting from this incredible and enormous era so let's decide which video slays the most.
Shakira started this era with Loca, a worldwide smash with a controversial video due to all the ilegallities that she did on it, a very unusual but interesting video. It was released in September, 2010:
The huge success of Loca made Sale El Sol, the second single, underperform on the charts worldwide. The video was all about Winter and stuff but since the label was interested in getting all the success Loca could get, they pushed it back to February, 2011:
Loca kept on smashing after like 1 year of its release in Europe, but the fans kept on asking for a new single and Shakira's team and herself decided it was time to release Rabiosa, a track that Shakira's fans knew was gonna smash with no promo and so it did, with or without Pitbull help. The song was a summer hit and it became Shakira's second most watched video on Youtube of all time: 132 million views!
Rabiosa kept Shakira's name active on the music world eventhough the promo for that song was 0, she didn't even perform it on tour since she wanted to spend time with her new boyfriend, Pique. Before the end of the year, the label, to promote the release of her Live From Paris DVD, decided to send 'Antes de las seis' as the fourth single, and here we thought this era was gonna end, the song underperformed, maybe due to the lack of promotion, but the DVD did sell well. The video was a live performance:
With the release of Shakira's Live From Paris DVD, Shakira's cover of Je L'aime a Mourir started to be a force of nature in France and the label decided to launch the live performance from the DVD as the promotional video for the song. It became one of Shakira's most successful songs in France, able enough to knock Adele out of the first spot of the french charts. It was a french single.
After five singles, Shakira doesn't want to let go of Sale El Sol era so she decided to launch one final single, Addicted To you, that was rumoured to become the fourth single (before Antes De Las Seis). The video was released today and the song is already smashing the latin charts. This is the only video (from Loca, Sale El Sol and Rabiosa) that had a different video director.
After this little introduction to each video, which one did you enjoy the most?
I don't know about M-D-N-A he is part of this blog and I can't understand his actions as well, the fake stans we have detected are madonnas and Dullenlightment,
Addicted to You > Loca > Rabiosa > Sale el Sol > Antes De Las Seis > Je L'aime A Mourir.
I love 'Loca' so damn much, and the video especially. I was SO excited with the awesome fan footage of her shootings. Best time I've had during this era. But the 'Addicted to You' video was awesome, and well shot with lots of variety. So it wins. And 'Rabiosa' was flawless too. Still fresh to this day.
STANNING FOR:
SHAKIRA
LANA DEL REY, FLORENCE + THE MACHINE & RIHANNA
LADY GAGA, ADELE, NICKI MINAJ, BEYONCÉ, SNSD & 2NE1

Loca was beautiful. Everything else was just basic.

Guess that means body doubles for music videos and arm flailing like we(Brit army) have to settle for :/

Yes. I respect anyone who has the ambition to succeed and flourish in a field they have absolutely no skill in.
"I have to say that the Britbots are as loyal as they come. They will follow her even if her next album consisted of "live" v@ginal fartings into a Fisher Price mic." - Man**

How many Britney Spears fans does it take to change a lightbulb? Zero, they all stand there in the dark convinced it's still working.
Addicted to You > Loca > Rabiosa > Sale el Sol > Antes De Las Seis > Je L'aime A Mourir.

This is essentially how I feel too, except maybe with Sale el Sol being above Rabiosa.
“I’m becoming a little more comfortable in front of the camera. I wasn’t used to it before. I was thrown into a new lifestyle and everything I do is kind of filmed or photographed. I’m a private guy. I like to keep to myself. I’m shy, maybe. It gets kind of tricky for me but, I’m beginning to find the fun in it. I don’t take myself too seriously so if I’m front of the camera, that’s what you’re going to get, me clowning around."(Bruno Mars)
Pedro how can you write such stupid thing like "Sale el sol underperformed on the charts worldwide" The song is a spanish ballad and obviously released for the hispanic world, it was #1 in Latinamerica, so what do you expect bi*ch, a Hot 100 #1?
