I think it's a close call between WA or DU.

The CDT costume that she is referring to might be for WA, the way wherein she wakes up from her whole Teenage Dream with the candy costumes, sugary accessories and the whole bit.

It might also be for DU, the way she is dressin' up for that guy.


But I have a feeling that it's for WA.

1) She confirmed it was going to be a single when she said she had the video concept in her head during an interview.

2) Wide Awake has sold more than Dressin' Up.

It has to be Wide Awake. It wouldn't make sense to include old tour costumes in a sexy DU video.

It's probably WA I don't know if it will be a good summer single but I really love the song and I'm pretty sure we're getting a very emotional and cute video. But I still want a sexy, naughty, **** video for DU, though

As much as many people want it to be "Dressin' Up," it would logically make sense that she is shooting for "Wide Awake."

--In interviews, she's said that the song was written with the movie in mind...

--The movie is coming out in July, so why not shoot a video to promote the song (a la Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never")...

--Lyrically, "Wide Awake" serves as Katy's realization that she can't continue to live in this Candyland world and that all good things must come to an end. It doesn't necessarily have to be about Russel or any of her failed relationships (as many have implied). Plus, Katy's next album is probably going to be a departure from the whole 'Teenage Dream' era, so it would make sense that she would use this song to transition to the next album.

I think a lot of people are worried about this being a "flop" because it isn't necessarily a summer song, and I agree. Be real though. Katy has already broken numerous records with this album. Im sure she doesn't really care about having a single that underperforms, because her main focus is probably to promote the movie.

Just my two cents. could be wrong though.

I have a strong feeling it's WA. Also a girl said on Twitter Katy said she changed her mind and was not releasing DU anymore at the private show in Hotel Cafe also stating that WA ties into the movie.

It's obvious that the MV's gonna be related to the CDT (because of the costume) and WA was made for the movie.

As someone already said WA's sales were bigger than DU's

WA is the best way to close one of the Greatest Era's in music history. It's like waking up from that "Dream" and now you're awake and ready to move forword!

+ Capitol released POM, a song that excisted for more than a year and only the hardcore fans knew and liked, but after the release most of them were sick of it! Releasing a new song, a mature one, at this point, is of high importance for Katy's career!

I'm here for a video were Katy wakes up from that "Teenage Dream" and she's ready to end this chapter and start an even better one!

Just saw the American Idol performance. May I say that was her best POM after the disastrous ones in France and UK.

She is looking more and more like a pop star, singing and dancing

She is also a lot less stiff compared to 2 years ago. That's a good sign seeing she's been practicing.

Actually, thinking about it, it's gonna be the "Iconic" tour dress and she's gonna be looking all super at the end of the video all "I'm Brilliant now, betches." (AKA Cheesy/Crap) So it could be Wide Awake, as silly as that is.
