Isn't Hunger Games like 5 weeks old now?
Is it really a big deal to beat a movie that's been in the theaters for almost a month and a half?
So, it's taking 5 weeks and 6 people with super powers to take down one poor girl with a bow and arrow from a dystopian future.

Hunger Games is 6 weeks old.
After 6 weeks, Hunger Games has done $228M internationally.
After 7 days, Avengers has done $260M internationally.
Hunger Games being old makes it all the more impressive for Avengers.

It's worth noting also that the Hunger Games is flopping internationally. Nobody cares about it outside US borders and they remain a local movie.

Well, the DC kids shouldn't be too upset. It doesn't matter what The Avengers does this weekend. The Dark Knight Rises will scalp it in the US.

Well, I have already seen it, and while maybe I was a bit disappointed considering all the hype, I still enjoyed the movie. Like I said in the other thread, kick-ass entertainment.
