One person who probably won’t be purchasing Kris Allen‘s new album Thank You Camellia this May: the cop who busted the “Vision Of Love” singer last night and threw him off the Santa Monica Pier for singing there without a permit.
Kris tweeted on Sunday, “How bout the pier in Santa Monica? 8 pm. You…me…couple tunes…ocean breeze…birds pooping on us. It’s gonna be great.” Once there, the 2009 American Idol winner performed a handful of his own songs by his lonesome — with just his trusty guitar — as well as a few requested covers, according to Billboard. That when Officer Not-So-Friendly stepped in.
“Sorry, man, I don’t have one,” Kris told the cop when asked for his permit. He was told to put his guitar in his case and get off the pier. The policeman then gave Allen the cold shoulder when he offered his hand.
“I’m not shaking your hand,” said the officer. “I don’t shake hands with anybody.”
Brrrr. That pier just got very chilly. After the Allen Interruptus incident, Kris tweeted the following: “Well I wasn’t expecting anything from tonight but that’s not what I expected. Getting stopped by the cops never crossed my mind… Btw I didn’t mean any disrespect to other street performers out there. I respect them so much for what they do.”
Do you think the police should have thrown Kris off the pier for singing a few songs by himself?
I don't get it he was singing on the street and got arrested for that

What a glorious picture to wake up to. The cop sounds like he had a stick up his ass, hucurrs about him anyway though.
