The WHOLE look was perfection, she was getting ready for the wedding so her body was really fit and I loved the way she wore her hair. The only problem was that she didn't even get to give a speech for her win. I remember when Luis (RightNow) texted me and told me that Hilary won, I was so damn happy that night.

It was so special because it was the first mainstream recognition she'd had in a while (besides actually being on gossip girl). It was so great and I loved how cheery her dress was and she just seemed so stoked. Loved it <3

Aw thank you. It's all Hilary man... all her! That was actually me trying to be concise haha. There's so much more I could say and I've been thinking about typing up like a little... essay of sorts. Just to elaborate more and share with other fans =D and thanks for the welcome! My name is Andrea btw. My pal Avery told me about this place. As I told him, I'll embrace any relatively active place to discuss Hilary!!

I've been teaching an intern at work the past few weeks, and of course anybody who spends any time with me quickly realizes I am obsessed with the duff lol. Anyways I was telling her about how when I was 14 and crying about Hilary Duff not going on tour in Canada that year, my dad said not to worry because I wouldn't care about Hilary by the time I was 16. Nice try dad. I'm 21 and she's still my queen!
Anyways this intern asks me "why do you think that is? That you've liked her for so long". And usually I just tell people "her music and movies have evolved and I've grown with them" which is true. I also say "I really am a fan of her as a person, beyond just her work. So I support her for who she is". And that's also true... but then I had to as myself WHY I support her so much as a person. It's because like you have, I've experienced first hand how good of a person she is and how good everyone around her is. Like her mom. Susan Duff changed my life man. I've met Hilary four times and to this day I have never met anybody or any group of people (her mom and managers) who were just so GENUINELY generous and thankful. It was just... so genuine.
The big thing was gratitude. Hilary & co showed me alot of gratitude. They didn't explicitly say "wow we really appreciate you being such a dedicated fan so we'd like to do this nice stuff for you". They didn't need to say it but I could feel it. I knew that's what Hilary meant when she went out of her way to give me a hug and talk to me a little longer than w/ other fans. and I knew that's what Susan meant when she offered to give us more meet and greets and concert tickets, and that's what her manager Tom meant when he did the same thing. Even though they didn't say it, the gratitude and generosity was so genuine. I have never experienced it with any other group of people. But also, I don't usually interact with people who are super famous and therefore super grateful for their fans lol. I'm sure you know what feeling I'm talking about though because I'm sure you felt it when you experienced Hilary running away from the car just to simply shake your hand and show all the gratitude she could even though she wasn't "supposed" to.
Experiencing how amazing and kind she is firsthand definitely helps to solidify lifelong fanship! But you don't even have to meet her to realize it. It's evident in a MILLION ways. Just ONE recent example... becoming a mother and feeling empathy towards other moms and babies and joining the Johnson cares charity. She inspires me in a million ways. I could go on and on but I think this mini-novel is enough for the night lol.

I missed so much!
Welcome to all the new members. And I love all the stories! I wish I had something to tell, but my love for Hilary is pretty simple. I fell in love with from Lizzie and felt a bond ever since. We're almost the same age, so our we basically grew up together. She's got all the personality traits I have, but I wish I was as confident as she is.

<3 I love that. Yeah you definitely don't need to have a personal experience with her to have a connection and understand how awesome of a person she is.
If I RT people will it count towards the trending topic? Or do I have to make an original tweet.

Great story. It's true she has so much heart and love for us as fans. Even though not everyone has gotten to experience it first hand, I hope the fans understand just how much she cares about us.
Her priorities have changed a lot over the last few years, but she wouldn't have joined Twitter and other social media outlets if not for us fans. I just can't wait for her next album era so that we get to experience more with her and hopefully those who haven't, get to see her too.
That's why I love that she's following Hilary News on Twitter because it really brings all of us that much closer.
I've got something to say to you, so shut up and listen

There were all kinds of rumors about Lalaine's absence from Lizzie McGuire's last few episodes. Rumors stemming from people claiming to have connections to others on the set and so on.
The most popular rumor is that Hilary and Lalaine's friendship deteriorated in the second season to the point of a fight and Susan gave Disney an ultimatum.
While I'm not saying here or there if I believe that rumor, there are three interesting things to notice about the final episodes and movie of Lizzie McGuire:
- Starting with episode 218 (Just Friends), Lalaine's screen time on LM was shorter for the following episodes than ever before.
- Also starting around that time, the amount of scenes with just Hilary and Lalaine in them were rare and few and far between. There was almost always at least one other person in the scenes.
- Lastly, Jake Thomas was asked on his website why Lalaine was not featured in the LMM and he replied "ask the Duffs."
Hilary and Lalaine haven't spoken to one another since the last episode of LM with Lalaine in it. However, Lalaine reached out to Hilary a year ago via Twitter when she found a photo of the two from the first season of Lizzie.
