ATRL - Poll: Album Full of Non-Singles?

Do you think artists will ever release albums full of past non-singles and then release the past non-singles as singles?

I know Britney has already done this to some extend by releasing Radar as the fourth single from Circus. But I think it would be even cooler if an artist took a collection of their best non-singles and released an "Unreleased" album and then release some of them. Every artist has their "Greatest Hits" or "Singles Collection" (which are pretty much the exact same thing). Why not put those hidden gems to good use and possibly even release them finally on an entirely new album full of previous non-singles?

Nah. Move forward with new material. If you didn't release it in the era that it belonged in, don't release it at all.

its cool coz the general public is for the most part unaware about the songs buuut
1)for the most part the music would sound dated
2)it wouldnt be fair to the fans

It might sound dated, but at the same time so would a Greatest Hits compiliation of any legendary artist.

Let's use the example of Madonna. She released Celebration in 2008 which is fine, but imagine if she released an album of some of her favourite tracks that she never released as a single. Not only would it provide insight into what songs she liked the most but it would also give new Madonna fans a chance to listen to some of her best lesser-known work.

Oh okay, but that's not what I'm trying to say. Technically those songs have never been on an album before, so they never were released with an album but not picked as a single. An example of what I'm saying right now would be if Katy took some of her better non-released tracks from OOTB and TD and put them all together on her next album, instead of releasing a Greatest Hits album.

Obviously Katy has a long way to go before she could do either of those things, though.

At first it sounded like a cheap thing to do, but now that I think about it I don't see what would be wrong with it. It's kind of like a mix between a Greatest Hits album and a B-Sides/Rarities album.
