Over three million. I believe it sold like 200k-300k WW last year according to Katy V!, so right around 3.1 - 3.2. At the end of this year, I'd give it a rought estimate of 3.3 and leave it at that.

Jay-Z at SXSW, Kanye West at Samsung's Galaxy Note II launch), go big or go home.

I'm simply making a fair comparison. If he is going to do it for Katy who has the least material, he can compare it with the other girls who are still getting slammed with much more material. If you don't like it, fine. Don't say anything.

One of the Boys: ~3M
Teenage Dream: ~5M
Don't try other gurls as an excuse. Bey, Britney, Gaga, Rihanna, Kelly, Christina etc all have an album selling over eight million. They've also topped at least 20M in alberm sales.

Right, and they have all had more than two albums as a popstar. Your the only one really trying it. Comparing Katy Perry to ADELE? Like, seriously? That's ignorant. Especially ignorant when you don't want to compare her with the other pop girls who have more albums than Katy and are still getting their asses beat by ADELE. It's not an excuse, it's a fact. Your trying to dodge it.

Bathomet tried it, so that's why alkralka made that comparison.

Why do people still argue with Kats? It's only the same argument "they have more albums so of course they are more successful" it's common knowledge that there are 0.1% chances to be more successful in your next albums than your 1st and 2nd

Yes, he did. But that doesn't mean alkralka doesn't know the ignorance in the comparison, then doesn't want to compare it to the other girls. Like, leave it alone.

What ignorance? Why try Norah and Adele, both infinitely more talented and successful artists than Kitty Purry, in the first place?

I like Katy, but I find it odd that she hasn't had a huge album considering how big her songs are or how many hits she has. Hasn't Bruno Mars sold around 6 million albums with his debut?

That's a solid # for a debut. He has had a ton of success in the US and UK.

Don't know about the rest of Europe, but she is barely known in my country. She has some moderate hits on the radio but nothing remarkable. I doubt she has had top 5 hit over here.

Bruno Mars is very successful in parts of Asia and Europe. He's pretty global.

Agreed. He had two #1's in the US and WW as well as three back-to-back #1 singles in the UK. His singles were massive ('Marry You' flopped because it didn't have a video.) Remember the 2011 IFPI report?
#1 Bruno Mars Just The Way You Are 12.5 million
#2 Bruno Mars Grenade 10.2 million
#10 Bruno Mars The Lazy Song 6.5 million
29.3 million from only 3 singles.
