Why Do Parents Get Mad When...
Well I was watching a show earlier where a Dad didn't want his 16 year old son to have his own computer in his room because he doesn't want him to learn about ****ography and stuff. They only have one computer in the living room so it'd be visible to everyone. And a question quickly came to mind.
Why is it that when parents find their kids watching **** they get really worked up and mad?
Is this just an initial reaction? Or are they concerned about the teen's obsession/addiction? Perhaps, they're scared for their future?
I know they're just protective. But some teens are really just curious and bold. It just happens because of peer pressure and human nature. I mean, they can't really prevent them from knowing this. Kids are gonna learn about this industry sooner or later.
Your thoughts?

You might want to edit that title.
And parents get mad because they don't want smut making their kid's mind corrupt. Little do they know high school does that for them.

The title
And I think that it depends of age. I mean, like, seein' your 8 yr-old kid watching would be .

My bad, I couldn't think of a better one. I changed it now to something that's not too graphic.
And truth. Like I said kids will learn about these stuff sooner or later.

TBVH, I'd introduce my kid to it at 14-15. Like, they're not gonna NOT watch ****, so why hold it against them.

I wasn't allowed to have a computer in my room because my parents thought (correctly) I'd never come out of my room if I had one.
I don't think my kid will have their own computer until it's necessary for school. Until that point, I think it's reasonable for a parent to monitor what their child sees on the internet. Sure, **** won't hurt them, but there's some seriously scarring/scary material out there.

I'm in complete agreement with you. But sometimes it can't be helped especially today in this computer age. They're virtually everywhere.

Yeah, I believe there's a proper time/age to show them this kind of stuff.

Well, religion plays a big part in this. But, it's usually the norm that dictates everything.

Parents, if I was to watch gruesome snuff movies, would you hold it against me?

Gurl if you think that's unreasonable you should meet my abuelita: she straight up spied on me when I was visiting her & got pissed over a humorous but racy picture I received in my email when I was twenty years old.
She also thinks that oral sex is for perverted deviants. Luckily my mom was the complete opposite of her.

I was always given complete privacy regarding my phone, computer, etc. and I thank my parents for that because there's nothing worse than having a pair of intrusive people in your home. The amount of privacy I grant to my kids will all depend on how much I trust them.

my nephew is only seven and he watches scary movie and sees sex in it
his mother told him where babies come from
he's perfectly fine
i dont really know why parents are so mad because it's something they have had to thought of

Sheltering is such a waste of time, just let your kids know the truth of the world at an appropriate age (no, not the teens) and you'll have less issues to deal with later on.

My mom always told me to not watch it (though she knew I would do it anyway) but it never got to the point of not letting me use the computer or anything. I guess they want to "protect their kids" and want them to wait until they're older to learn about sex?
