Mediatraffic isn't accurate otherwise SW would have more than 8M points. Avril is a massive force WW especially in Asian countries many of which aren't counted by Mediatraffic.

She released an album 2 years before, releasing 10 singles from it + toured. I mean, Avril came from a 4 years break and barely promoted her album.

Girlfriend sold more outside the US and the gap between them is very small (about half a million) which can be accounted for the singles selling more in 2008/9 than 2007. GL is Avrils only album to underperform (something nearly every artist including P!nk has).

Except it's the truth? Avril has hardly any support from RCA from 2009 onwards, which was when GL was originally planned for release.
