Me too.
I want to see it at midnight but the only time one of my friends is available is Saturday night.
I think this is gonna beat the opening weekend record, or just be a little less than Potter.

So Battleship is premiering in two weeks in Brazil?
I Think i'll watch it, although it seems like a bad spin-off of the Transformers, tbh.

Avengers -- directed by Joss Whedon -- doesn't open for another week in North America. The tentpole opened No. 1 in all 39 territories, and posted the biggest opening weekend ever in key Latin American markets including Mexico ($15.9 million) and Brazil ($11.3 million).

Hello, there.
It's an amazing movie. It deserves all the success.

You dont necessarily need to see any of them to understand The Avengers though. You would just know a bit more about the characters in the movie.
|
Well I watched only Iron Man and Hulk out of these. Good to know, though. But maybe I'll watch them anyway
Do you wear glasses? Because 3D annoys the **** out of me.

Damn at Avengers
Battleship has turned into a bomb after starting out well, it will need the US to do huge numbers to save it.

Yes, the international numbers aren't looking too well. They are respectable though. It needs to bring in $300M+ domestically and from the remaining Latin countries to be considered even a slight financial success.

Ive just watched The Avengers and its pretty good. They did a good job fitting all the superheroes in the 2 hours without them looking like cameos. It pretty much follows the formula of all these good vs bad superhero films. But the action sequences are exciting and the dialogue has some witty touches in places.
Scarlett and Robert stand out for me. Its nicely paced from the getgo and it never sags.

The Avangers was great. But the movie of the year is coming in two months. Be ready.

As I suspected and this trailer confirms, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will have a more special role in this movie than simply a cop... Is Robin coming and Nolan will keep that as a secret?

Box Office Shocker: 'Avengers' Pacing to Fly Past $500 Mil Globally by Sunday
Joss Whedon's superhero pic continues to do bang-up business overseas, where its total through Monday was already $218 million; the tentpole opens in North America at midnight Thursday.
Quote:
Disney and Marvel Studios appear to have a runaway hit on their hands.
The Avengers, which only began rolling out at the international box office late last week, is easily on track to become the most successful title produced in-house by Marvel Studios, besting the $623 million worldwide gross of 2010's Iron Man 2.
Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers is doing massive business at the international box office, earning $218 million in its first six days through Monday and breaking records across the globe. And the 3D pic, which unites many of Marvel's marquee superheroes, could enjoy weekend-like business Tuesday because of the May Day holiday in many foreign markets.
At this pace, Avengers' foreign gross likely will grow to $350 million-$400 million by Sunday, boosted by its debut in Russia and China this weekend.
Avengers doesn't launch in North America until midnight Thursday. It's widely expected to debut north of $150 million, based on the strength of prerelease tracking.
The superhero tentpole is the first Marvel Studios film marketed and distributed by Disney following the company's acquisition of Marvel.
Last summer, Marvel's Thor grossed $449.3 million worldwide, while Captain America: The First Avenger earned $368.6 million. The first Iron Man earned $585 million globally in 2008; all three characters are featured in Avengers.
