Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Christina, Kanye, Eminem.
Britney is a legend, so no need to include her.

NONE!
joking
Beyonce
Kanye
Pink!
Alicia Keys
that's it for now.
Rihanna could be a legend or be like Paula Abdul. An artist who had hits back to back but then fizzled.

I mean by people in general. The only people who think she's more than just a hit-making machine are Internet stans. I don't believe she has many solo Grammys, her tours do well, but not as well as they should, and her album sales are subpar for someone with eleven #1 singles.

None of them are legends yet.

This chart success is not = legendary status
even though many legends have huge chart success its about having music that will be seen as artistic and still being talked about by crazy music fans like us for years to come Etta James is a legend and her chart success is very minimal while BSB and NSYNC had huge chart success and aren't seen as legends by the majority of people I know

I honestly think if Rihanna sticks around long enough she's gonna be looked at on the internet like Britney Spears is. Perceived as "Legendary" (only on the internet) just 'cause she lasted when no one thought she would, but not "legendary" for much else.

There is a world outside of the United States, you know.
She's sold 26 million albums WW and she's done that in less than 7 years.
Every album she's released in the UK save for MOTS has gone multi-Platinum.
She's earned 4 Platinum albums in the US and has a fifth one on the way, not to mention that one is multi-Platinum and another is eligible for that.
Her last tour grossed $90 million off 98 dates, **** out of here with "they should do better".
She has won a ton of awards, her last four albums have all earned positive critical reception, WFL was one of the most revered videos of 2011, Umbrella earned the prestigious VOTY award in 2007, and she's been cosigned by Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye, Madonna, Beyonce, Britney, Coldplay, Bono, and more - all of whom are legends or on their way to becoming legends.
And from collaborations or not, she still has 5 Grammy's, which is more than most girls can say. How about we not even get into the fact that she's 24 and has 11 #1 hits, meaning that by the time her career is done, she will EASILY hold the record for most #1 hits by one artist?

Nobody mentioned the Foo Fighters I think its obvious they will be future legends. I also see Taylor as becoming a legend in the next 20-30 years. Aside from Taylor I see Gaga being a legend while I don't like her music its obvious the kind of impact she's had can't be taken away and she can become a legend as well.

I can't see Rihanna having a big tribute like Janet, Madonna, Michael had. Beyonce is like Tina Turner's daughter. She will get the respect and credit that comes with being a legend. Rihanna might just be "that girl with all the hits."

Yeah, I considered listing them. They're really the only widely respected and commercially successful ROCK band out right now. They could be looked at in the future as the last of a dying breed.

Rihanna and Gaga have the most potential out of the girls who debuted since '05.I think Adele will be more of an on/off artist, releasing music once every 3-4 years taking "long" breaks.)
Britney ,Beyonce, are Shakira are pretty much there in terms of Iconicness
Christina is already known as a great singer by the GP now,but if she wants to take it to the next step, she'll have to pick things up after Bionic.I'd hate to see her fall after only 10 years in the game.
Ne-yo,as of now.NO.Sorry.Not much who he wrote songs for but in terms of his music career,he was just there.
Lil Wayne could be up there, seeing as he's one of the few rappers who could keep themselves relevant from the 90s to the 2010s.

Not even shading anyone in particular, but I'm convinced if you put a green wig and cute pumps on an inanimate object and gave it one Top 40 Dr. Luke or RedOne single, you will see threads praising and stanning for it, comparing it to Michael Jackson and how they're slayed by its good personality

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen this:

Then gets followed by this:
Quote:

Every album she's released in the UK save for MOTS has gone multi-Platinum.

And now this:

How about we not even get into the fact that she's 24 and has 11 #1 hits, meaning that by the time her career is done, she will EASILY hold the record for most #1 hits by one artist?
