Nobody's really saying anything to be honest w. you. I noticed it myself, I've asked a few people, but nobody really knows. I could see maybe the reason why would be that all these new shows aren't attracting attention and marketed toward the wrong demographics. a lot of the new cbs shows is a 35-48 demograph, which it should really be 18-25/18-49. Thankfully Ugly Betty has been a huge hit, being a new show and all. I'll keep looking around, see if Variety has any answers, cos it seems they're at an all-time low.
