Which do you prefer doing for classes: papers or exams?

Basically, do you prefer being academically evaluated on your ability to write papers or your ability to score well on exams?

Consider the pros and cons of each. For example, exams are often unpredictable. On the other hand, papers can be very time consuming. Etc. etc.

I definitely prefer papers. Gives you more time to focus and organize your thoughts. The downside is that it tends to draw itself out, whereas exams are over within a few hours.

I like multiple choice tests, while I like papers 'cause although it is a drag it's not THAT bad except when you have no idea what to write.

Exams. I'm ****ing sick of papers. A few years ago I would have said papers, but I AM ****ING SICK OF WRITING PAPERS.

I hate exams, I have severe anxiety attacks, and I always end up screwing it.

So It's different for different people, if it wasn't for exams my average would be 90+

Exams are a lot more predictable and controlled, which I like. That's probalby why I hate my English class

I'll go with exams, because those are less stressful since you don't have to investigate the material. Unless your getting examined on a paper.

Exams. Sometimes you don't need to study. Papers always need some kind of effort to do.
