Regardless of wether Marina wanted it to be generic or not I don't think it is at all. I could seem stupid but I've never heard a song that sounds similar to Primadonna. The lyrics are brilliant and never fail to make me laugh, the music is actually good (for Dr Luke) and it's one of my favourite songs by her.

The only song I know that sounds similar to Primadonna is one of Adam Lambert's new songs (can't remember the name) that was produced by Doctor Luke, but Primadonna came out first sooo...

There is no bridge in "Primadonna."

I strongly doubt you are a Marina fan. Listen to the song first before making a thread about it. There's not a dubstep moment in "Primadonna" nor a bridge.

It's not the bridge, it's how the song sounds.

The chorus has no beat the first two times with a lush backing, and the grinding beat that follows the first chorus of HIAM was clearly the blueprint for the beat that drives Primadonna's verses and final chorus. Also, they use the same chord progression.

I do like Primadonna (it's better than HIAM) but there's no denying Dr. Luke served Marina one of his less inspired productions.
