The California Dreams Tour attended all of these countries to sold out-venues, that right there is significant in how far the era's "reached" WW.
Also keep in mind that this era as a whole is far more memorable than the LOUD era, which didn't really make much impact and was easily forgettable.
And let's not even speak in terms of awards and nominations, Katy takes that cake easily.

She didn't tour in those countries, because she didn't want to.
Do you really think Katy is more succesfull WW than Rihanna?
& even if she didn't tour in any of those countries, her gross is way more than Katy's, which is more impressive.

so because she chose not to go to more regions, the era is less successful. If anything that goes in Rihanna's favor. She stopped in less regions and still ******* on her tour gross with less dates. The only thing I consider memorable about the TD era is Firework. The general public don't give a **** about that stank ass record. Most don't even know about it outside the Stan world. I really don't see any type of impact the TD era had. She had successful singles and even when it comes to that I still hear OG, WMN?, MD, S&M, way more than I hear any of the TD singles not named Firework.

The TD era will define Katy's career and everything she puts forward after it will be compared to it, everything Rih releases quality wise will be compared to RR and success wise to GGGB, LOUD will just be another era for Rihanna. Looking back people will remember TD over Loud any day tbh...

TD won no grammys at all. And last time I checked BOTH were nominated for album of the year

Juno Awards, VMA's, AMA's, PCA's, etc. And more, it isn't that hard to see that Teenage Dream received more nominations and awards overall.
Katy had more significant nominations, but I was talking overall.

Death at people talking about the LOUD tour not stopping at certain venues yet it still grossed more, the shade writes itself here

But to be honest, neither the TD or LOUD eras will be remembered by time Katy or Rihanna releases their tenth album.
|
I never said it didn't outgross it, but the whole point here is success isn't just measure in numbers. Impact and how much it really does for your career can say loads as well. Like I said, most of you see it for the numbers and dismiss it.

let me tell you a fact....
Just the thought of Rihanna with red hair will be remembered. I bet you no one will remember CG, TD, LFN, TOTGA or ET in 3 years time. The only memorable song in TD was Firework

Not them dragging theirselves and their fave . Rihanna could easily reach the 100M+ mark if she wanted to while the other grossed 30M less with more dates.

No, I'm simply saying that the OP stated this was based on WW success. Rihanna's tour did better because she stayed in regions she could milk for all it's worth. Katy's tour was more successful in further regions around the world than just the UK/CA/US. LOUD grossed more, yes. But your not getting the point that it was not more successful on a WW scale because it didn't visit half the locations the CDT did. See, now your getting all worked up for nothing, and your saying radical things. I'll leave you here.

TD era was so big so big that it didn't make any headlines besides billboard and ATRL when she tied that cheap record, I didn't see her in the media, not many magazine covers, all the other girls in their peak eras were EVERYWHERE, what happened?
