TBH partly this. She should be grateful that they did not leak the whole album weeks before the release date like what happened to Beyonce. But she handled that correctly and put the record straight

Leaks happen, and more often than not, it's fans who are the culprits behind these leaks and their distribution. But it's these very same fans that will buy her albums, go to her concerts, and feed her pockets.

She says she needed space, well there is a button for that; Sign Out. Throwing a fit and deleting her twitter two weeks into her album's release was a poor way to handle that situation to say the least.

Shes so ungrateful to be honest!
These fan sites are the beat things that can happen to artist. These fans who run the website honestly care about the artist, they arent out to pirate their music and such! Gagadaily, Rihanna daily, Breatheheavy are huge sites that support thier artist.

Nicki is really messwd up for that though.

Why would she want to upset fans, so early into her career.

The sad thing about the people in this thread is.... probably MAJORITY doesn't even own a Nicki Minaj album.

I don't see what the big deal about deleting your Twitter is. How is that such a selfish act? How is it so unprofessional?

I'm not understanding why people want to give her so much hell because she deleted HER page.

!!!! When other artists who still have their twitter pages never interact with their fans the way Nicki did, and will still continue doing through other avenues like she always has (ustream, MPF, TMR, etc.) Nicki doesn't need twitter to express how much she loves her fans, she always finds other ways of expressing that.

I'm glad she talked about it and set the record straight. I came expecting to watch the video and like be mad at her even more but it puts it in perspective. She has no obligation to have a twitter, plenty of celebrities don't have twitters.

I understand why she deleted her twitter now, I think. I think she finally realized that she was just getting too close with her fanbase. The leaking thing wasn't the reason why, nor was all the negativity. They may have played parts, but they weren't the sole reason why. The main reason is a culmination of all of those; she's getting too close to her fans and like she said, she needed some space. I get it.

Good for her.
