As Katy begins to reach the end of the flawless Teenage Dream era, we're all noticing a change.

Katy is slowly moving from Candyfornia to Transylvania, from bubblegum to eyes of newts, and from unicorns to vampire bats.

We're being told that the next era will be "darker" and more "edgy", so I'm wondering, what do you think of the transition into darkness, and do you think Katy's shadow-residing persona will be praised or condemned for this?

I think she will do better next era in certain aspects. Probably album sales and acclaim.
As for the looks, that one is a mess. But the looks after that have been beautiful. Also keep in mind it was Black Friday and she did an inspired look off that.

That whole look is a mess. While I do have faith in the material being good, if she wants to be edgy, she needs to make it seem not so forced.
