Is 'The Edge Of Glory' more memorable than 'Born This Way'?
Out of Gaga's latest era singles, the smash lead 'Born This Way', which topped the Hot 100 for six weeks and went on to sell over eight million copies worldwide, and the third single, the multiplatinum summer hit 'The Edge Of Glory', one of the most critically-acclaimed pop tracks of 2011, are surely the tracks everyone will sing along to at the Born This Way Ball and the ones which will be remembered in the future. If the first took over the whole world at the time of its release and became a hugely popular gay anthem, I have the impression the latter is becoming more of a memorable and universal anthem than the other; many people also want her to close the new tour with this song, which says quite a lot. What do you think?

The Edge of Glory may be more universal, but Born This Way will be revered as more memorable.
It didn't claim the top spot for 6(?) weeks for nothing.
This is not your grave, but you are welcome in it.

Born This Way is memorable for being the gay song. It's not as forgettable as ATRL likes to pretend it is.
The Edge of Glory seriously is everywhere though. It gets played at sporting events, graduation parties, everywhere. It will be the song she will be most remembered for by the end of her career.

IMO if EOG got the first single treatment like BTW had AND recieved a BETTER video,I think it would be more memorable.

Not even shading anyone in particular, but I'm convinced if you put a green wig and cute pumps on an inanimate object and gave it one Top 40 Dr. Luke or RedOne single, you will see threads praising and stanning for it, comparing it to Michael Jackson and how they're slayed by its good personality

Yes, absolutely.
But I understand the use for 'Born This Way' being the lead single.
Considering what was going on within the gay youth/discrimination at the time,
It was an opportunity to capitalize on her of message for equality & tolerance for the disadvantage.
But I think she alienated a majority of her casual listeners.
Nonetheless, it worked and time will tell if 'Born This Way' has left an impression.
Whereas 'Edge Of Glory' message is easily accepted and approachable to a wider demographic.
It would've been better for "Edge Of Glory" to be the second single, though.

It is, this song is gonna turn into some sporting/graduating anthem
The only memorable thing that BTW made was the records breaking thing, which could've been the same if she would've released any other song from the album.

Yes, it's like the only song that people can openly like in the BTW era outside the stanbase.
TEOG era had so much potential that was wasted
