If Destiny's Child never existed.....
Would Beyonce still be the star that she is today? I ask this because me and my friends were discussing this last night (heated discussion, but I wont get into that, ki). So, what do y'all think? Would she still be the same megastar she is today if Destiny's Child never existed and she started out solo in the 90's?

She probably would be successful but it would have taken her longer to buil her fanbase, her debut was so strong due to the combination of her music + people being familiar with her from DC.

Probably. A part of the reason she was so successful was because DC was already known as Beyoncé ft Destiny's Orphans Child, so it would've taken longer.

But she'd still be somewhat of a star because she's a great vocalist.

Basically. She had the privilege to SHINE next to her "lesser" bandmates ( no offence I love Kelly & Michelle but I mean BEYONCÉ... ) and ultimately became fan favorite ERGO her solo career was ready to begin
